An Update

January 29, 2019

Greetings from snowy Manitoulin Island. It might not be the warmest spot in the world but it certainly is one of the most beautiful.

Our small group continues to play at least a couple of days a week. Tuesday evenings seem to the best times to include those that work during the week. I want to thank Margo for spearheading this winter session. We are playing Monday - Wednesday - Friday at 1:00pm and Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm.

This Friday at 9:00 AM sharp, registration for the Pickleball Canada Nationals will open. Last year the events filled up in the first 2 hours. If you are planning to play, here is the link and start the process exactly at 9:00 AM, February 1, 2019. The event will be held in Kingston, Ontario. This is the first time, the National has been hosted in the East.

You will require your Pickleball Canada membership number. If you don't know your membership number, you can search it at: SEARCH  or send an inquiry email to Kevin at

I would also recommend that you make sure you register at first before registering for the tournament if you have not already done so,. It speeds up the process.

Let us know how your pickleball winter is coming along. Send any information and pictures to:  Let us know what your doing.

2019 Summer play here on the Islands starts in 62 days. . . . . . . .

Stay warm
